Lengthy letter from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, R. Menachem Mendel Schneerson. Brooklyn, New York, 29th Shevat 1955.
Typewritten on the Rebbe's official stationery, with his signature – "M.Schneerson", with additional words and corrections in the Rebbe's handwriting.
Addressed to R. Yitzchak Levi, rabbi of the Shomrei HaBrit community in Reading, Pennsylvania. The Rebbe encourages him to take action to improve various aspects of community life: building a mikveh, glatt kosher meat for New York butchers in light of difficulties imposed by the butchers' union, and lectures on daily halachah.
The Rebbe goes on to encourage him to establish educational institutions, despite the concern of lack of space in such a small community. In that connection he quotes the Rebbe Rayatz's saying that the Tabernacle was always erected in full in every location, no matter how short the stay.
The Rebbe concludes his letter with a blessing for success.
