Decorated ketubah on paper, for the marriage of the bridegroom Aka Baba son of Refael to the bride Leah daughter of Yosef. Tehran, Iran, 7th of Tishrei, 5666 [October 6, 1905].
Ink and paint on paper.
Decorated ketubah in the form of a four-page booklet. Text of ketubah enclosed within decorative frames. Text concludes with signatures of the bridegroom, and the witnesses Avraham son of Baba and Shalom son of Reuven. Leaf borders illuminated in red, blue, and yellow, with touches of gold, in a style characteristic of Islamic manuscripts.
