Edited by R. Avraham Yitzchak Castilo, who added a commentary and customs of Livorno, until his death, when the printing continued posthumously.
Printed during the lifetime of the Chida. This is the first siddur to print halachic rulings by the Chida.
R. Avraham Yitzchak Castilo (1726-1789), a rabbi and printer of Livorno, preacher and poet. The Chida, asked to give a Shabbat Shuvah sermon in place of R. Avraham Yitzchak Castilo about a year after his passing, praised him profusely on that occasion.
The present siddur is an important and rare source of customs of the Livorno community.
R. Avraham Yitzchak Castilo's press, established in 1780 along with R. Eliezer Saadon, printed many important books, including most of the books of the Chida.

Fine set, printed on thick, high-quality paper, in original leather bindings (all volumes placed in original cardboard cases).
Two title pages in each volume.
These machzorim garnered enthused approbations and praise from such leading Torah figures as the Haflaah, the Chatam Sofer and the Baal HaTanya.
R. Wolf (Ze'ev) Heidenheim (1757-1832) was an exegete, grammarian and renowned Masoretic scholar. His press in Rödelheim printed his grammatical works, accurate editions of the Torah, and his celebrated machzorim.
On endpapers of all volumes, ownership inscriptions in Hebrew and Latin characters (dated 1819).

Small miniature format, with fine original leather binding, with gilt decorations.
The book opens with the blessing for counting the Omer and with the prayer recited after the counting. This is followed by the full text for each day's counting, a separate page for each day, with the Hebrew text above and the numbers of the days and weeks in Latin script below. The latter is written in the following manner (in Spanish or Portuguese): H [=Hoy/Hoje, today], S [=Semana, week], D [=Día/Dia, day]. Following that, the Birkat HaLevanah and the subsequent prayers are printed.

Printed leaf to be hung in the Sukkah, Ulu Ushpizin Ila'in Kadishin, prayers and gematria for seven days of Sukkot, according to the order of the Ushpizin, with festival songs. Kokand (Bukhara, present-day Uzbekistan): Rachamim David Bayof for Chizkiyah Chachamof, with assistance of Azariah Yusuvof and Yaakov Yusufwej Baruchof, 1916. Judeo-Tajik (Bukharian).
Eight parts, each dedicated to one of the seven days of the festival, with a short prayer and numerical values pertinent to the Ushpizin of each day. The eighth part contains songs for Sukkot.

Tikkun Keriah Lechol Lailah VeYom – Tikun for every night and day – a Sabbatean order of Tikunim compiled by Nathan of Gaza, "prophet" of the false messiah Shabtai Tzvi. Amsterdam: Yitzchak son of David de Castro Tartas, [1666]. Pocket format.
A foreword with news of the Redemption was printed on the verso of the title page (Gershom Scholem suggests that the foreword may have been composed by R. Shlomo de Oliveyra).
The Tikun was compiled by Nathan of Gaza, yet his name is not mentioned on the title pages of the Hebrew editions (Gershom Scholem writes that he saw a Spanish edition, where the name of the editor "Nathan Ashkenazi" was mentioned on the title page).
The present book of Tikkunim was published at the pinnacle of the mass movement of repentance which swept through the Jewish people upon hearing Shabtai Tzvi's tidings of the Redemption and news of the events occurring around him, which spread rapidly from the East to other European Jewish communities. Amsterdam was one of the important centers of Sabbatean awakening at that time, and many editions of Sabbatean Tikunim were printed there by the local Jewish printers (Joseph Athias, David de Castro Tartas and Uri Phoebus son of R. Aharon HaLevi). Their publication in Amsterdam was presumably also for the purpose of being sent throughout Europe. The Amsterdam printers competed over who could produce more complete and beautiful editions of the books of Tikunim, and Amsterdam Torah scholars (in particular R. Yitzchak Aboab de Fonseca and R. Shlomo de Oliveira) even inserted some important additions in some editions, including sections of prayers, confessions and songs.

The History of the Three Late Famous Imposters, viz. Padre Ottomano, Mahomed Bei, and Sabatai Sevi, by John Evelyn. London: Henry Herringman, 1669. English.
Rare, early documentation of the events surrounding the false messiah Shabtai Tzvi, published only three years after his conversion to Islam and about seven years before his death. The central part of the work (pp. 41-126 – over two thirds of the book) is dedicated to Shabtai Tzvi and his movement: the spread of the news of the coming of the messiah that led to messianic fervor in Jewish communities throughout the Ottoman Empire and Europe, his apostasy to Islam and the profound crisis undergone by his believers. The first part of the book details two other impostors claiming to belong to the Sultan's family.
The author relies on detailed reports sent by English merchants and envoys in Constantinople, and gives a minute description of the rise and fall of the Sabbatean movement. This work is considered a primary source of the highest importance for the history of Sabbateanism, and the first English book to detail the events.
The author, John Evelyn (1620-1706) was an English industrialist, botanist and scholar, whose diaries and books detail the important events of his times.

Biography of pretenders to royal lineage, including 16 plates with portraits (woodcuts). The end of the book includes an early description of Shabtai Tzvi (pp. 502-536), with his portrait and an anti-Semitic essay on the spiritual blindness of Jews and expulsions, pogroms and forced conversions throughout history. An early source of information on Shabtai Tzvi, published approx. 17 years after his conversion to Islam and seven years after his death.

Last leaf from appendix of theological-polemical book Klaar en duidelyk vertoog, by Jewish apostate Fridericus (Yaakov) Ragstadt van Weile, printed in the Hague, 1720. In the letter, Nathan of Gaza calls on the Jews of Aleppo to believe in Shabtai Tzvi as messiah.
The letter appears to have been forged by the author for polemical purposes. No other attestation to this letter can be found in Sabbatean sources or in Nathan's original writings.
Fridericus Ragstadt van Weile, born Yaakov Ragstadt, appears to have served as preacher or teacher in his native Cleves before apostatizing to Christianity, after which time he published several theological works.
