Two necklaces with amulet cases. Palestine or the vicinity; one from the Jenin region, [early 20th century].
Silver; silver thread; silver coins; beads.
1. [Jenin Region]. An especially long chain from which three cylindrical amulet cases – a large one in the center flanked by two smaller ones on the sides – are suspended. Coins, beads, and chains with silver coins dangle from the amulet cases. 60X11 cm.
2. [Nablus Region?]. Wide chain to which a triangular amulet case, decorated in silver thread and with beads, is attached. Silver coins dangle from the chain and from the amulet case. Approx. 65X5 cm.
