Comprises detailed records of expenses and income, with many names and details, from 1812 to 1816.
The Saadat Bachurim society was established by R. Shaul, Rabbi of Amsterdam, in 1760, supporting poor students of the Etz Chaim yeshiva in Amsterdam (established by his father R. Aryeh Leib). The society worked with the Beit Midrash to shape the Ashkenazic Torah center of Amsterdam (this institution later developed into the Nederlands Israëlietisch Seminarium).
