Pair of Torah finials. Marrakesh, Morocco, after 1925.
Silver, cast, turned, pierced and engraved; gilt (with Moroccan standard marks in use from October 1925, with "M" for Marrakesh).
Tall pair of partially gilt finials. Topped by a crown-like ornament, above a hexagon decorated with pierced vegetal patterns and horseshoes with suspended bells. Large dome-shaped base – decorated to match with pierced patterns – standing on a tall cylinder.
More bells on two hangers stylized as flowers and birds. Dedicatory inscriptions engraved on each finial: "In memory of David Tzadok"; "In memory of Nisim Tzadok". Minor design variations between both finials (mainly to top ornaments).
Height: 39 cm. Maximum width: 13 cm. Overall good condition. Warping and minor fractures. Three chains with bells lacking.
