On the first leaf appear photographs of Herzl and Jabotinsky, the text of the Declaration of Independence and "Words by the Chief Commander of Irgun Tzeva'i Leumi", according to which "Etzel abandons the underground within the borders of a free Jewish state" (Hebrew).
