Four Islamic "maskeh" amulet pendants. Palestine / Jordan / Syria, [first half of 20th century].
Silver, cast and engraved; silver thread; silver coins.
Four droplet-shaped amulet pendants, engraved on both sides with verses from the Qur'an, verses in praise of Allah, prayers for protection and defense, and a table with numbers. One of the amulets is engraved with a depiction of the Dome of the Rock.
Varying sizes, from 5.5X3.5 to 10X5 cm.
