Eight Bedouin amulets made of beads and stones. Palestine, southern villages / Sinai, [20th century].
Cotton and woolen thread; beads and stones.
1-2. Beaded chain consisting of 24 large, amber-like beads, and bracelet with five additional beads.
3. Cloth satchel containing eight stone beads of various types, and an additional pendant in a silver frame.
4. Six stone beads of various types, on a purple woolen string.
5. Seven bright-colored stone beads assembled in a red-colored cotton thread bundle.
6-7. Pair of cylindrical amulets wrapped in cloth and decorated with an array of strings with blue, red and coral beads.
8. Bracelet for infant – eight small, bright-colored seashells sewn onto a green fabric strap.
