Matzah basket. [Germany or Poland, late 19th or early 20th century].
Red cotton thread embroidery on canvas; cardboard base.
Round basket with high side walls, embroidered with the inscription: "Seven days shall you eat matzah" (Hebrew) and a floral ornament. Additional fabric lining inside for covering the matzah.
Height: 14.5 cm. Width: approx. 32X27 cm. Overall good condition. Stains. Minor fraying and wear.
