The author,
R. Avraham Chizkuni (born in 1627), was an Ashkenazi scholar and kabbalist. Born in Cracow, he was a disciple of the author of the Tosafot Yom Tov, and travelled to Venice to join the kabbalistic circle of R. Moshe Zacuto and his fellow scholars. At the end of his days, he travelled to Tripoli, Libya, where he passed away.

[6], 88, [1] leaves. Lacking 2 leaves after title page, with approbations and adjuration before study of kabbalah by R. Chaim Vital, and last leaf with end of corrigenda. Leaves misordered. 15.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Stains, including dampstains. Tears and open tears to title page and several other leaves, affecting illustrated frame and text, repaired with tape (with dark stain due to repair). Wear and small marginal tears to some leaves. Early binding, partially detached, with worming and defects.
