Rare folio edition, containing two maps of Jerusalem, ancient and modern (printed on one plate), and three hand-colored lithographs after Bartlett's drawings: a view of Ancient Jerusalem with the Temple; a view of Modern Jerusalem with the Dome of the Rock; and a view of Modern Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives from the north (lithographs by J. C. Bourne). The title page bears an additional hand-colored lithograph, depicting the "Remains of the Ancient Bridge" (Robinson's Arch).
Introductory text in English and French precedes the plates, with a schematic plan of the city and a key identifying the principal sites.
