Two tall, erect Hanukkah lamps. Israel, [1950s-1960s].
Brass, cast and turned, silver-plated; brass, turned and engraved.
1. Hanukkah lamp. Branches extend outward to the sides from central column. Removable servant light projects forward. Star of David at top of central column. Inscription (Hebrew, in relief) on base: "Gift of the Histadrut, Department for the Provision of Religious Services." Height: 57 cm. Width: 57 cm.
2. Hanukkah lamp. Branches extend outward to the sides from central column. Servant light (soldered on) projects forward. IDF emblem at top of central shaft. Inscription (Hebrew) on base: "IDF Chief Rabbinate." Height: 70.5 cm. Width: 63 cm. Minor warping and blemishes, old soldering repairs.
