Two English books dealing with Jerusalem, with illustrations by William Henry Bartlett (1809-1854), a renowned steel engraver who specialized in landscapes in a Romantic and Realist style. Among other subjects, his works included engravings of the Near East and North Africa.

Travelogue by W. H. Bartlett, written following his journey to Jerusalem in 1842. With 25 plates, illustrated title page, and dozens of in-text illustrations. Plates include Jerusalem city maps (double plates), the Western Wall, the Pool of Siloam, and Mt. Zion.
VIII, 255 pp. + [25] plates, 23 cm. Good condition. Few stains. Handwritten dedicatory inscription. Original, fine binding, with minor blemishes. Gilt edges.
