Six parchment and paper amulets either from North Africa, or written in Palestine by Jews of North African origin, [first half of 20th century].

1. Parchment amulet in long, narrow format, to protect "Shalom son of Makhlouf." The layout of the text is unconventional; the text is arranged into circles and diamond shapes in a style reminiscent of the kabbalistic diagram known as the "Tree of Life" or "Tree of Sefirot."
2. Parchment amulet in long, narrow format, written on both sides, to protect "Esther daughter of Simhah Zulikha."
3. Parchment amulet in long, narrow format, to protect "Ye'oshu'a son of Aziza."
4-5. Two parchment amulets in rectangular format. One to protect "Avraham Hayyim son of Sa'oudah" and "Shulamit Soulikah daughter of Hannah"; the other for the protection of "Sarah daughter of Grazia [or Garcia]," and to bless her with finding a mate and earning a livelihood.
6. Paper amulet, for the protection and healing of "Yosef son of Farihah." Numerous fold lines.
