Manuscript, Kitab al-Tabbakh – halachic work by Ab Hisda (Abu al-Hasan) of Tyre. Shechem, 1885. Arabic, with some Hebrew (in Samaritan script). Black and purple ink on paper.
Kitab al-Tabbakh is a work by 11th-century Samaritan scholar Ab Hisda of Tyre concerning kosher shechitah and other halachic topics. It also includes a detailed commentary of the Song of the Sea and various polemical writings.
The manuscript was produced by copyist Yaakov ben Yishmael ben Avraham ben Yishmael ben Avraham HaDanafi, with a colophon dated 1885.
