Copy of Rebbe Sinai Halberstam Rabbi of Zhmigrod – leading rebbe of the Sanz dynasty, with his signatures at the foot of the title page and his stamps on the title page and other leaves.
Rebbe Sinai Halberstam of Zhmigrod (Nowy Żmigród; 1871-1941; perished in the Holocaust), son of Rebbe Baruch of Gorlitz son of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. He conducted himself with extreme holiness, would awaken every night at midnight to study Zohar until the morning prayers. Renowned as a wonder-worker.
