Edited anthology of Geonic responsa, including 400 short responsa, most on civil issues and some on marital issues.
Signature on title page: "Shlomo son of Eliyahu Nisim" –
R. Shlomo son of R. Eliyahu Nisim (1781-1864), served as Rabbi of several Italian cities and finally in Mantua. Opposed the Reform movement and published several tracts on the issue, as well as a sharp polemic against Shadal and his book on kabbalah.
On last leaf, signature of censor "Camillo Jaghel", dated 1613.

36 leaves. Approx. 19 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains, including dampstains. Tears, including marginal tear to title page. Early parchment binding, with minor defects.
