The glosses were presumably written by R. Shmuel Shmelke Taubes Rabbi of Bârlad, son of R. Yitzchak Eizik Taubes Rabbi of Bârlad and Bucharest.

Tears, including marginal open tears to title page and other leaves, slightly affecting text, repaired with paper (additional tape repairs to title page). Worming, slightly affecting text. Handwritten inscriptions. Old binding, with damage and worming.
