Printed leaf, "prayer by a holy and pure author to recite before lighting the candle of Shabbat and holidays". Jerusalem: [R. Yisrael Bak, 1862]. Vocalized Yiddish.

Before the prayer, it is stated that according to kabbalistic books, the holy souls ascend to the Garden of Eden through the Cave of Machpelah on the eves of Shabbat and festivals at candle-lighting time, which is therefore an auspicious time for prayer and charity to the poor of Eretz Israel.
