Four books by the poet, playwright and author Peretz Markish (1895-1952). Poland, Lithuania and Russia, ca. 1920-1930. Yiddish.
1. Di Kupe [The pile]. Published by Kultur Lige, Warsaw, 1921. First edition. Cover designed by Henryk Berlewi.
32 pages. 34 cm. Good-fair condition. Vertical folding marks to all the leaves and to the cover (the booklet was folded into two). Creases. Light stains. Tears to front cover (also minor open tears to top left corner). The front cover is partially detached. Closed and open tears to back cover, some unprofessionally restored. The booklet with its original cover is bound in a new hardcover binding.
