Parchment ketubah, for wedding of groom Immanuel son of Shlomo and Miriam daughter of Tzemach son of Yitzchak Carpentras. Southern France, 5th Sivan 5520 (May 20, 1760).
Ink on parchment.
Written on a rectangular parchment sheet, with upper edges cut decoratively. Ketubah text in center, in square letters, with signature of groom, bridesmaids and groomsmen, cantor and witnesses at edge. Verses of blessing and verse relating to the groom's name at top of ketubah.
29.5X42 cm. Fair condition. Stains and moisture damage, some dark. Folding marks and wear, creases and tears, slightly affecting text.
