Pair of Torah finials. [Persia (Iran), first decades of 20th century].
Silver, cast, punched and engraved (unmarked).
Pair of narrow pear-shaped finials, stood on cylindrical bases. Decorated with vegetal patterns, Stars of David around the word "Tzion" and dedicatory inscriptions:
"Yosef son of R. Chaim Shamsian, donation in honor of the Land of Israel"; "For the soul of Tarim (?) daughter of Asher Shamsian" (Hebrew).
 
Holes for chains with coins in the upper sections (most lacking; only two Persian coins are left, from the late 19th century).

Height: 34 cm. Width: 9 cm. Overall good condition. Most decorative chains and coins lacking.
