Pair of Torah finials. Morocco, [early 20th century].
Silver, pierced and engraved (unmarked); chased.
Torah finials, composed of hexagonal bodies, each with six horseshoe-arched windows, from which bells are suspended. Decorated with dense vegetal patterns. Dedicatory inscriptions engraved on the shafts:
"Sanctified to the Lord, for the repose of the young man Elazar Almaliach".
"Sanctified to the Lord, for the repose of the young man Elazar Almaliach".
Height: 33.5 cm. Max. width: 10.5 cm. Overall good condition. Minor dents. Some chains and bells missing.
