Or Zarua, halachic rulings following the order of the Talmud, by R. Yitzchak son of R. Moshe of Vienna. Zhitomir: R. Chanina Lipa and R. Yehoshua Heshel Shapira, grandsons of the rabbi of Slavita, 1862. First edition, published based on a manuscript which had been hidden for six hundred years. Two parts in two volumes.

Rebbe Yisrael Friedman of Husiatyn (1858-1948), last grandson of Rebbe Yisrael of Ruzhin. Immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1937, and settled in Tel Aviv. He is famous for his prayers at the gravesite of the Or HaChaim during WWII, when he declared that the Nazis would not succeed in conquering Eretz Israel.
Two volumes. Part I: 4, [2], 5-232 pages. Part II: 4, 184 pages. 37.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains. Worming, affecting text. New leather bindings.
