Two Hanukkah lamps. [Morocco, early 20th century].
1. Cast brass Hanukkah lamp. Openwork back plate, in form of symmetrical tendrils, and punched with small circles. Row of oil fonts consists of four square receptacles for oil, each bearing two pointed spouts for the wicks.
Height: 18 cm. Width: 17.5 cm. Depth: 6 cm. Good condition. Servant light missing.
2. Repoussé sheet brass Hanukkah lamp. Back plate adorned with punched, repoussé circles. At center of back plate, a large, sawed openwork Star of David. Additional (engraved) ornaments in vegetal patterns. Row of oil fonts suspended above rectangular drip pan. Servant light fastened above Star of David. Pair of matching, arched side panels with undulating edges.
Height: 25.5 cm. Width: 17.5 cm. Depth: 17.5 cm. Overall good condition. Fracture, roughly 6 cm long, and old soldering repair. Small holes in back plate, resulting from old attachment of row of oil fonts.
