Hanukkah lamp. [Morocco, probably Marrakesh, ca. 1930s-1940s].
Brass sheet, cut, repoussé, and punched; patterned colored glass.
Large Hanukkah lamp. Back panel consisting of two folded pieces of sheet brass, with left and right margins cut to form semicircular edges. The lower piece bears punched floral patterns, and its bottom portion is folded forward so as to create a drip pan.
The servant light is attached to the upper piece, which is also folded forward so as to create an overhang for the entire lamp. A large ornament in the form of a Star of David appears on top of the overhang, at center. Side panels, in shape of tapered arches, made of pieces of patterned yellow glass; surmounted by brass Star-of-David ornaments, connected to base of overhang. Row of oil fonts and servant light soldered onto back plate. Suspension hook (on back).

Height: 30 cm. Width: 41 cm. Depth: 8 cm. Overall good condition. Warping. Minor soldering repairs. Several soldered connections loose or partly detached.
