Pair of Torah finials. Fez (Fes), Morocco, after 1925.
Silver, pierced and engraved (marked with Moroccan quality marks, in use from October 1925 onward, with the letter "F" for Fez).
Each finial is surmounted by a large, elegant crown-like ornament, from the top of which slender curving rods extend; from these rods, chains with bells at their ends are suspended. The finial bodies are rounded, with the upper segment pierced with vegetal patterns, and the lower portion engraved with vegetal patterns. The lower portion has suspension hooks shaped like flowers or birds, intended for suspended bells. Bodies supported on cylindrical shafts, tapering upward, in turn supported on dome-shaped bases.

Height: 37 cm. Maximal width: 11 cm. Overall good condition. Most chains and bells missing. Loose attachments to bird-shaped suspension hooks; one suspension hook missing.
