Signature of author throughout manuscript, in one place signs "son of Rabbi Shalom ---". At end of one of the Chiddushim he writes "I have expressed this before my rabbi and mentor, the famous and astute rabbiג€¦ Rabbi Moshe Ya'akov Dembitzer and he graciously accepted it" [the Ga'on Rabbi Moshe Ya'akov Dembitzer was among the Dayanim of Krakow, 1819-1863, author of Meimei HaDa'at, Lvov 1866].
