On verso of title page, printed Shanah Tovah blessing followed by an introduction by the editor, in Hebrew and German.
Contains a detailed calendar for the year 5649 (1888-1889), followed by Boneh Yerushalayim, a survey of the number of Jewish settlers in Eretz Israel in various cities, communities and kollels. The end of the book contains a chapter dedicated to ethics and current events in Jerusalem, composed of sentences with the numerical value of the year 5649.
