Letter of consolation written during the week of mourning for R. Isser Zalman Meltzer, addressed to his son R. Shraga Feivel Meltzer.
The Rebbe writes of his grief along with the rest of the Jewish people at the passing of R. Isser Zalman Meltzer, whom he praises for his greatness and humility, his pure simplicity and his love for the Jewish people.
The letter is written by a scribe, followed by two lines handwritten and signed by the Rebbe: "…the prayer of one awaiting the mercy of heaven, Mordechai Shalom Yosef son of R. Aharon Friedman – of Sadigura-Przemyśl".
