Letter from Rabbi Simcha Bunim Ehrenfeld, Rabbi of Mattersdorf. 1909.
The letter deals with the kosher status of the Marinbad Spa.
Rabbi Simcha Bunim Ehrenfeld, author of Ma'aneh Simcha (1855-1926), son of Rbbi Shmuel, theChatan Sofer, and grandson of the Chatam Sofer. Born in Pressburg in 1855. From 1883, he took the place of his father in the Mattersdorf Rabbinate. (Otzar Harabbanim 19749; The Chatam Sofer and His Disciples pg. 544). His descendant established, in memory of their father and community, the Mattersdorf neighborhood in Jerusalem.
Official stationery. 22.5 cm. Good condition, tear pasted with scotch tape – no damage to text.
