Kiddush cup with matching saucer and lid. Probably Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India, [first half of 20th century].
Silver (marked), cast and engraved.
Kiddush cup with stout shaft and round base, with decorative band with vegetal pattern featuring tiny leaves and fruit. With matching lid and saucer, as customary in several Indian Jewish communities. Lid surmounted by ornament in shape of flower bud. Saucer supported on three legs designed to look like legs of bird of prey, with talons grasping a small sphere.
Height: 14 cm. Including saucer: 16 cm.
