Charity box for the Jewish National Fund (JNF). Germany, [ca. 1910; pre-WWI]. Marked on bottom: “Entwurf. Leop. Fleischhacker Ausf: Homann-Werke. Vohwinkel”, with serial number: A 10 423.
Sheet copper, stamped.
Designed and produced by the Jewish-German sculptor Leopold Fleischhacker (1882-1946) in the years preceding World War I.
Front bears the inscription “קרן קימת לישראל / Jüdischer National Fonds” and a Star of David. Side panels decorated with memorial lamps in relief; back panel decorated with grape cluster motifs.

Height: 15 cm. Width: 10 cm, depth: 8 cm. Overall good condition. Minor dents. Small blemish to one foot. Locked; without key.
