Iton Rishmi. Issue no. 1 (May 14, 1948) through issue no. 25 (October 1, 1948), bound together in a contemporary binding, supplemented with an index. Printed with authorization granted by the Provisional Government, HaPo'el HaTza'ir printing press, Tel Aviv.
The newspapers were printed separately and bound together towards the end of 1948.
Issue no. 1 is printed on lighter paper, as originally published. The issues contain a wealth of information reflecting the emergency state in the country and the initial organization of various institutions of the young State of Israel. The first issue contains Israel's Declaration of Independence and a manifest of the Provisional Government.
VIII, 167 pp, 32 cm. Overall good condition. Stains (some dark). Several tears to margins. Strips of adhesive tape to margins of some leaves. Ink-stamps. Minor stains to binding.
