HaAch – Chabad Children's Weekly – Lubavitch, 1910-1912 – All the Issues of Years I and II – First Mention in Print of the Rebbe, at the Age of 9
HaAch, children's weekly issued by Tomchei Temimim, two volumes of issues (all the issues of years I and II). Lubavitch, 1910-1912. Hebrew, with some Yiddish.
Two volumes. Vol. I, year I: issues 1-40 (all the issues). With supplements for issues 1, 8 and 15. Issues 6-14 unnumbered. Vol. II, year II: issues 1-47 (all the issues), with supplement for issue 23.
Issue 26 of year I contains a list of children who sent a contribution towards the publication of the newspaper. Several children from Yekaterinoslav are listed, including the child Menachem Mendel Schneersohn (future Lubavitcher Rebbe). This is presumably the first mention of the rebbe in print. The rebbe was nine years old at the time.
Vol. I (year I): 40 issues and supplements, numerous paginations. Vol. II (year II): 47 issues and supplement. 381 columns. 24.5 cm. Overall good condition. Stains. Marginal tears to several leaves. Loose gatherings in vol. I. Bindings old and damaged (binding of vol. I detached).
