A book by the German theologist David Nerreter, in two parts. The first part discusses the history of Islam and its customs and the second part is devoted to the translation of the Quran. The book includes 15 (out of 16) engraved plates depicting, among others, Moslem holidays and customs.
[9] leaves, 1222 pp, [25] leaves + [15] engraved plates (lacking one plate), 16.5 cm. Good overall condition. Stains. Some slight defects. Inscriptions on front endpaper. Margins of the engraved plates are trimmed. Fine parchment binding (with slight defects).
