1-2. Two small boxes made by Alfred Salzman, for the "United Charity Institutions of Jerusalem" (the united fund of the "Etz Chaim" Talmud Torah and the "Bikur Cholim" hospital). Jerusalem, [1930s-1940s].
On the front of the boxes, the Yiddish inscription "Charity for the Bikkur Cholim Hospital / The Etz Chaim Talmud Torah and Yeshiva in Jerusalem" was printed. On their sides, the name of the distributing organization appears: "United Charity Institutions of Jerusalem". On one of the boxes appears the address of the organization in Jerusalem and on the other, its address in New York. On verso, there are kind of "wings" protruding from the sides to attach them to the wall.
4x7x8 cm. Width of back panel: 9 cm. Fair-good condition. Rust. Dents and blemishes. Peeling paint. A sticker on one of the boxes.
3. Charity box, the "Heichal HaTalmud" Yeshiva, Tel-Aviv. [ca. mid-20th century].

4. Charity box with an advertisement for the "Bustan" coffee substitute of the "Gush" factory. Made by Alfred Salzman, Jerusalem, [ca. 1950s].
On verso of the box there are instructions for using the "Bustan" coffee substitute.
