Five Torah pointers. Afghanistan, Iran, or surrounding regions, [late 19th / early 20th century].
Silver, cast and engraved (unmarked); turquoise gemstones.

1-2. Two Torah pointers from Afghanistan. One set with turquoise gemstones, engraved with the verse: "The Torah that Moshe commanded us is the heritage of the congregation of Yaakov". The second Torah pointer, with a broad flat palm, bears the dedicatory inscription:
"For the soul of Mr. Shaul son of Aharon Shenfar[?]..." (Hebrew).

3-5. Three Torah pointers from Iran or vicinity (Uzbekistan?). All three are engraved with dedications. Two of pointers with broad, flat palms.

Length: 24-28.5 cm. Good condition.
