Two garment ornaments (robe clasps), necklace (chest ornament), and bracelet. Turkmenistan (Teke tribe), [first half of 20th century].
Silver (parcel gilt), cast, pierced, and engraved; silver thread and granulation; punched sheet silver; carnelian gemstones and coral beads; glass.
1-2. Two diamond-shaped "chamga" garment ornaments (robe clasps), inlaid with carnelian gemstones. With pendants that chime like bells. 14X21.5 cm, 13.5X20.5 cm.
3. Necklace (also serving as chest ornament [pectoral]). Consists of small pendants punched with vegetal patterns; and three large pendants, fashioned with granulation. Some ornaments inlaid or set with coral beads or glass beads in a number of different colors. Approx. 20X20 cm.
4. Very large bracelet, inlaid with carnelian gemstones. 9X6.5 cm.
