Fine original leather bindings, with gilt decorations to spines, and original color endpaper.

Title page at beginning of first volume finely illustrated with figures of Moses and Aaron (produced by artist Nicolaas van Frankendaal).
At beginning of Shemot and Vayikra, folding leaf with long plate containing eight illustrations, depicting scenes from the Tabernacle and Temple: lighting the menorah, the table of showbread, the Temple altar, the offering of incense on the golden altar, the washing from the basin, the ark in the Holy of Holies, and more; each illustration is captioned with a Biblical reference in Latin.
The second volume comprises two other works by Johann Simonis, printed together with the Bible: Veteris Testamenti dictionarium Hebraeo-Chaldaicum, a Hebrew-Aramaic-Latin Biblical lexicon; and Analysis et explicatio lectionum masorethicarum, Kethiban et Krijan vulgo dictarum, an analysis of the ketiv and keri in the Masoretic text of the Bible. Divisional title page for both works.
