Semichat Chachamim, Part I: Birkat Hashem, Part II: Kedushah UVerachah, novellae on Tractate Berachot by R. Naphtali HaKohen Katz, Rabbi of Frankfurt am Main. Frankfurt am Main: Johann Wust, [1704-1706]. First edition. Both parts illustrated with elaborate engraved title page. The first title page is followed by a star-shaped poem.
The first part constitutes a lengthy kabbalistic introduction, while the second part contains novellae on Tractate Berachot.
Printed in the lifetime of the author, the celebrated Ashkenazi kabbalist R. Naftali Katz (1650-1719), rabbi of Ostroh, Posen and Frankfurt am Main. Appointed at the young age of 40 to the Council of Four Lands, the highest authority in Ashkenazi lands.

The books of R. Yaakov Koppel of Mezeritch, Shaar Gan Eden and the Kol Yaakov siddur, are adapted and edited compilations of the writings of R. Moshe Cordovero, R. Chaim Vital and R. Yisrael Sarug, with the addition of his own novellae. They were held in exceptionally high regard by the Baal Shem Tov and other prominent Chassidic leaders, who quote from them extensively.

R. Yehudah Leib Rappaport, who prepared the book for press, tells in his introduction that Rebbe Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura instructed him to print the book, and that Rebbe Yisrael of Ruzhin and other Tzaddikim purchased the amulets mentioned in the book from him.

Two different stamps of Rebbe "Avraham Abish Segal Kanner" of Czchów, from Jassy and Botoșani. His father Rebbe Yaakov Shimshon Kanner founded the Czchów dynasty. Rebbe Avraham Abish was appointed rebbe in 1929 in Botoșani, and later established his court in Botoșani. After World War II he immigrated to Eretz Israel and served as rebbe in Haifa.
Stamps of Rebbe "Yitzchak Yaakov Rabinowitz of Biala… Bnei Brak" – Rebbe Yaakov Yitzchak Rabinowitz of Biala-Ramat Aharon (d. 2010), son-in-law of R. Abish Kanner, the Rebbe of Czchów-Haifa.

Ashkenazic cursive script. Large anthology, mostly from one scribe, with some leaves from another scribe bound with it. Extensive collection (comprising hundreds of sections) of cures, Segulot and incantations, also containing a cure in the name of the Baal Shem Tov and cures from various other Baalei Shem and folk healers. Segulot and amulets are also cited from early Torah scholars and kabbalists such as Ibn Ezra, Rambam, R. Yehudah HeChasid, the Arizal, R. Naftali Katz and more.
Also contains Segulot and amulets for various matters, some including kabbalistic symbols and illustrations. Some sections are in Yiddish, a few in Russian and Turkish.
