Mishmeret HaTahorah, order of study for Erev Rosh Chodesh (Yom Kippur Katan), edited by R. Chaim Yosef David Azulai – the Chida. Livorno: Eliezer Saadon, [1791].
Copy of R. Shmuel Konki. His signature appears at the top of the title page. He also vocalized the word "Tahorah" in the title, with a note referring to Nechemiah 12: 45.
Below his signature, handwritten dedication by the son of R. Shmuel Konki: "Sent as a gift to R. Yitzchak ibn Amor son of R. David, from Ef[raim] K[onki]".
R. Shmuel Konki, a 19th century rabbi of Gibraltar, was a Torah scholar and mohel. His library included many volumes of rare books and manuscripts, to which he added marginal annotations.
The role of R. Chaim Yosef David Azulai (the Chida) in this book is not mentioned on the title page of this book, but on the title page of another book of his, Yosef BeSeder (Livorno, 1799), he describes his part in the present book.
