Rebbe Shlomo Shapiro, Av Beit Din of Munkacs (1831-1893), first Rebbe of the Munkacs dynasty, son of Rebbe Elazar Shapiro of Lantzut (Łańcut) and grandson of Rebbe Tzvi Elimelech Shapiro of Dinov (Dynów), author of Bnei Yissachar. Son-in-law of R. Shmuel Shmelka of Sassov. In 1858, when his father Rebbe Elazar moved to serve as Rabbi of Łańcut, he was appointed to his place as Av Beit Din of Strzyżów, Galicia. In 1880 he began to serve in Munkacs. He traveled to Rebbe Yisrael of Ruzhin, Rebbe Meir of Premishlan, Rebbe Tzvi Hirsch of Rimanov, the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, the Sar Shalom of Belz and more. His son is Rebbe Tzvi Hirsch Shapiro of Munkacs, the Darchei Teshuvah. His grandson, Rebbe Chaim Elazar Shapiro of Munkacs, the Minchat Elazar, describes his great holiness and the wondrous effects his singing had on his listeners: "Anyone whose soul was sick would be healed immediately, and they would see that while he was singing God's hand was upon him…". He left behind several halachic and aggadic works named Shem Shlomo, but he left the instruction in his will not to publish any of them, since he had not completed them in a state fit for printing, and for another reason he did not disclose. Nonetheless, his teachings were often copied in the book of his son and grandson. In his will, he permitted to write only the following praise in his epitaph: "Did good in religious matters for the town and for individuals".

Rebbe Chaim Elazar Shapiro, Av Beit Din of Munkacs (1872-1937), the Minchat Elazar, was a leading Torah scholar, halachic and Chassidic authority. Son of Rebbe Tzvi Hirsch Shapiro, Av Beit Din of Munkacs, author of Shem Shlomo, he was born to the dynasty of Rebbe Tzvi Elimelech of Dinov, the Bnei Yissachar. He fought for the holiness of Judaism, and his halachic and kabbalistic teachings are studied all over the world. Author of Minchat Elazar, Shaar Yissachar, Nimukei Orach Chaim, Divrei Torah in nine parts, and more.

Written on stationery of Yeshivat Kehillat Yaakov [Pupa]. Sent to the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States, requesting a letter of recommendation for R. Yosef Binyamin Friedman, emissary for the Pupa yeshiva, who was sent "to raise funds from our fellow Jews for our yeshiva, in which poor people study who will disseminate Torah with God's help… Yosef Grünwald, Av Beit Din of Pápa".

Rebbe Yosef Grünwald of Pupa (1903-1984), last rabbi of Pápa, Hungary, and leading rabbi in the United States. Son and successor of R. Yaakov Yechizkiyah Grünwald, Av Beit Din of Pápa, the Vayaged Yaakov (son of R. Moshe Grünwald, the Arugat HaBosem). In 1925 he married the daughter of his great-uncle R. Yaakov Yechizkiyah Grünwald (brother of the Arugat HaBosem). He served as posek and yeshiva dean in Satmar, and in 1941 after the passing of his father the Vayaged Yaakov, he moved to Pápa and served as town rabbi. During the Holocaust he lost his first wife and their ten children, who were murdered by the Nazis. After the war he moved to Belgium and later reached the United States, where he established the Kehillat Yaakov Pupa community, and served as rabbi and yeshiva dean. He was a leading Orthodox rabbi in the United States; he served as president of the Central Rabbinical Congress associated with the Satmar Chassidut, and he was known as the "Pupa Rav". His books include Responsa Vayaan Yosef, the Vayechi Yosef series, Darchei Yosef, and more.

A letter thanking a donor for his contribution. The Rebbe blesses him: "I pray to the living God to open His good storehouse with bountiful blessing and success in spiritual and physical matters as much as you wish for good…".

Rebbe Shlomo Halberstam (the second) of Bobov (1907-2000), the Divrei Shlomo, prominent rebbe in recent times. Son of Rebbe Ben Tzion Halberstam, the Kedushat Tzion (son of the first Rebbe of Bobov, Rebbe Shlomo Halberstam, grandson of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz). In 1931, his father moved from Bobov to Trzebinia, and appointed him as rabbi in his place in Bobov. Rebbe Shlomo assisted his father in directing the dozens of branches of the large network of yeshivas "Etz Chaim – Bobov" in Galicia. After the Holocaust, he reached the United States where he re-established the Bobov Chassidut. He led his followers for over fifty years, founding communities, yeshivas and Torah institutions in the United States and worldwide (Israel, Belgium and England). Bobov Chassidut is one of the largest Chassidic communities in the world today, numbering tens of thousands of families. His books include Kerem Shlomo, Noam Shlomo, Divrei Shlomo and Chochmat Shlomo.
