The book begins with Azharot Kodesh, and with records of Chassidic practices from the rebbes of the Karlin-Stolin dynasty.
The renowned Shabbat song – Kah Echsof Noam Shabbat by R. Aharon HaGadol of Karlin is printed on leaf 6 (p. 11).
[5], 316, [5] pages. Lacking first title page. 28 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains. Tears to title page, repaired with paper and tape on both sides. Tears to several other leaves, repaired with tape. Stamp, signatures and handwritten inscriptions. New binding.
On the verso of the title page, bookplate of R. Yaakov Tzvi Yoskowitz, a survivor of the Łódź ghetto (with his signature on the title page).
Some corrections were made to this first edition during the course of the printing, resulting in variations between the different copies.

On the title page, signature of R. Shalom Menachem Chodorov, grandson of Rebbe Baruch Halberstam of Gorlitz and step-son of the Sfat Emet of Ger. It is interesting to note that a grandson of Rebbe Baruch of Gorlitz, who was a fierce opponent of the Kotsk approach, possessed a book by R. Bunim of Peshischa, progenitor of the Kotsk doctrine.

Sidrei Taharot is an original, comprehensive and brilliant work on Tractates Kelim and Ohalot. Since there is neither Babylonian nor Jerusalem Talmud on these tractates, the author compiled a kind of "Gemara". The center of the page is occupied by the text of the Mishnah, followed by all the teachings of the Babylonian Talmud, Jerusalem Talmud and Midrashim pertaining to that Mishnah. The text of the Mishnah and Talmud is flanked by two commentaries by the author and compiler – one lengthy and one brief, replicating the style of Rashi and Tosafot. A great controversy arose at the time surrounding this work.
On the title page of Tractate Kelim, signatures of R. Dov Aryeh (Bernhard Löbel) Ritter Rabbi of Rotterdam (1855-1935), a prominent Torah leader in Holland. He exchanged correspondence on halachic and communal matters with Torah leaders in many countries.

Rebbe Mordechai Dov Twersky (Chanukah 1839–Elul 1903), son of R. Meshulam Zusha of Tlumach and son-in-law of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. Upon his appointment as rebbe and rabbi of Hornostaipil, many Chassidim began flocking to his court, and he eventually became one of the most prominent rebbes in Russia. He was also renowned as a foremost halachic authority of his times, and exchanged halachic correspondence with leading rabbis in his country and beyond.

Tzuk Ha'Itim, events of the 1648-1649 Khmelnytsky uprising, [by R. Meir son of Shmuel of Szczebrzeszyn]. Venice: Vendramin, [1656].
Tzuk Ha'Itim is the first printed chronicle of the Khmelnytsky uprising. The first and second editions feature the name of the true author, R. Meir of Szczebrzeszyn. In the present, third edition, the name of the author was changed to R. Yehoshua son of R. David of Lviv. The poem at the beginning of the book was also changed to adapt the acrostic to the false name of author.
