Postcard with letter (2 lines) handwritten and signed by Rebbe Chaim Elazar Shapira, the Minchat Elazar. [Munkacs (Mukachevo), 1932].
Addressed to the philanthropist R. Eliezer Bollag of Baden. The letter is very concise, written with many acronyms, and signed by the rebbe.
On the verso of the postcard, there is a letter from the rebbe's attendant, R. Chaim Dov Greenfeld, writing on behalf of the rebbe. He informs that the rebbe is praying for the recovery of the person in question, and relays the rebbe's blessings for a complete and speedy recovery.
Rebbe Chaim Elazar Shapira Rabbi of Munkacs (1872-1937) was a leading Torah scholar, halachic authority, rebbe and kabbalist in his generation. Author of Minchat Elazar and many other Torah works.

Manuscript, Aniyat Amen – eulogy on Rebbe Avraham Matityahu Friedman of Shtefanesht, by R. Nachum Shemaryahu Shechter Rabbi of Huşi (Romania), [1933].
Neat manuscript (with deletions and emendations) handwritten by the author, presumably in preparation for the publication of the book. This work was published in 1936, in Cluj (Klausenberg) under the title "Sefer Aniyat Amen".
The eulogy was delivered on 21st Av, 30 days after the passing of the rebbe of Shtefanesht on 21st Tammuz. On the same occasion, R. Schechter eulogized Rebbe Menachem Nachum of Ițcani (Bukovina), nephew and presumed successor of R. Avraham Matityahu, who passed away shortly before him.
R. Nachum Shemaryahu Schechter (1886-1967), prominent rabbi of the Ruzhin dynasty. Served as rabbi in Darabani and Huşi, Romania. Immigrated to Jerusalem after the Holocaust, and served as rabbi of Kiryat HaYovel. A prolific author.
He was a close associate of Rebbe Avraham Matityahu Friedman of Shtefanesht (Ștefănești; 1848-1933), famous tzaddik and wonder-worker, son of Rebbe Nachum of Shtefanesht – son of Rebbe Yisrael of Ruzhin. Rebbe Avraham Matityahu succeeded his father at the age of 21, and under his leadership, Shtefanesht grew to be an important Chassidic center. He served as rebbe for over 60 years. His gravesite in Eretz Israel serves until this day as a pilgrimage destination for prayer and salvation.

Letter (2 pages) from the Beit Yisrael yeshiva in Visheve, signed by Rebbe Menachem Mendel Hager, the yeshiva dean and rabbi of the city. Oyber Visheve (Vișeu de Sus), 28th October 1928.
Appeal for the yeshiva soup kitchen, addressed to the philanthropist R. Aharon Farkash. Official stationery, with a group picture of the yeshiva students at the top. Written by a scribe, with the signature and stamp of the rebbe at the end of the letter (on verso).
Rebbe Menachem Mendel Hager of Visheve (1885-1941), son of the Ahavat Yisrael of Vizhnitz. Served as rabbi of Vizhnitz, and later of Visheve, where he founded the Beit Yisrael yeshiva. A leader of Agudath Yisrael and member of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah.

Letter handwritten and signed by Rebbe Moshe Yehoshua Hager of Vizhnitz. [Bnei Brak?, ca. 1950s-1960s].
Written in the lifetime of his father, the Imrei Chaim, in response to a letter of congratulations he received upon his appointment as rabbi of the Vizhnitz community in Bnei Brak, alongside his father. Concludes with blessings for the recipient, who appears to have also been appointed as rabbi or leader of a community.
