Ownership notations (“Rabbi Guttman David Rabinowitz… Vilna”). Signature of Rabbi “Moshe Ya’ir Weinstock, Beit Yisrael, Jerusalem”, including several glosses in his handwriting.
Binding leaf contains lengthy handwritten comment: “Moshe Rabbeinu sacrificed himself for the people of his generation… bearing the proper intention of G-D’s holy name can reverse all judgments in a positive direction, Amen…”.
The Jerusalemite Kabbalist Rabbi Moshe Ya’ir Weinstock (1899-1982), disciple of Kabbalists and Rebbes of Jerusalem, disciple of Rabbi Yehuda Leib Ashlag author of "HaSulam". Published many books in Kabbalah and Halachah, Hassidism and Musar.

Zohar Chai, on Shemot, commentary of the Zohar according to the Arizal and the Besht, by Rebbe Yitzchak Isaac of Kumrana. Bnei Brak, 1972, second edition.
Dozens of kabalistic long handwritten glosses, some signed: "Note by Yuda Ze'ev Leibowitz". Included in the notes are many quotes from his rabbis: Rabbi Yoel of Satmar, Rabbi Aharon of Belz, Rebbe of Sanz, Rabbi Moshe Ya'ir Weinstock etc.
Several notes are in the handwriting of the Mekubal Rabbi Yoel Hirschsprung of Tel Aviv (1891-1989), signed Yoel. Stamps of Rabbi Yehuda Ze'ev Leibowitz and Rabbi Yoel Hirschsprung.
The Mekubal Rabbi Yehuda Ze'ev Leibowitz (1921-2010), was born in Satmar and studied in his youth from Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum and Rabbi Yehuda Rosner Rabbi of Székelyhid. A wonder-worker, holy and pure, one of the heads of the "hidden" mekubalim group in Tel Aviv (a disciple of the "Shoemaker" and Rabbi Yehuda Zvi Brandvein), he studied at length kabalistic wisdom and wrote several important books. Close to Rabbi Aharon of Belz and the rebbes of the House of Ruzin and Sanz. He was renowned as a wonder worker and lofty tzaddik.

Signature and stamps Rabbi “Avraham HaCohen Weisbord, rabbi of Smolensk”. Chumashim contain dozens of lengthy glosses in his fine handwriting; some of Chiddushim on the Parshiot and some of critique on composition "Torah Temimah" [in one place he writes in reference to the Jewish people in Egypt while eluding to his generation: “They made secondary primary… therefore did not succeed in education of their children, they taught them trades which promise great wealth and sent them to Egyptian schools so they would be guaranteed a happy life in terms of the world and they were negligent in seeing to it that they don’t learn from their ways and lose the heritage of their forefathers and so it was…”].
The Ga’on Rabbi Avraham (Katz) Weisbord (1867-1936, Otzar HaRabbanim 392), Av Beit Din of Tula and Smolensk (Russia). In 1933 immigrated to Eretz Israel and was appointed as Rabbi of Jaffa. Son of Rabbi Zecharia Mendel Katz, rabbi of Radin. [Uncle of “Rav HaNazir” [ascetic rabbi] Rabbi David Cohen].
Five volumes, varying pagination (first volume missing both title pages and includes only title cover). 25 cm. Good condition. Stains, several tears. Original semi-leather bindings.

Dozens of glosses in flowing Ashkenazi handwriting, on sheet margins, title pages and binding leaves. Content of glosses: explanations and novellae, summaries and various lists. Most comments have dates of writing between 1918-1939. The comments and dates show that the writer reviewed his studies a number of times. In the volume Kodshim, the writer signs his name and the name of his father and mother: "Moshe Leib (Moshe Aryeh) son of Rabbi Menachem Zvi and Chaya Zissel". On the volume of Seder Taharot [which is customary to study in memory of the dead] he listed the dates of his family members' yartzeits. One of his glosses on Tractate Avot is signed with his initials.

Signature [with an illustrated frame]: “S. Zalman Axelrod Av Beit Din of congregation of Dalehinov”. Sheets of book contain dozens of erudite glosses (majority lengthy) in his fine handwriting, in which he debates at length with the author and critiques him with great genius.
Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Axelrod (born in 1860, Otzar HaRabbanim 18738), among the famous geniuses of Lithuania, Av Beit Din of Dolhinov and afterwards Av Beit Din of Palatzk. Authored a number of compositions (Divrei Shlomo, Menoraht Shlomo, Ner Ma’aravi, Gilayon Shlomo) which were not printed (mentions some of them in glosses of this book).

Sefer “Drush VeChiddush Rabbi Akiva Eiger”, sections 2-3 (bound together). Warsaw, [c. 1920]. Stamps, ownership notations and signature of Rebbe Rabbi Yochanan Sofer of Erlau: “I have received this as a gift from my honorable and beloved… Rabbi Ya’akov… Yochanan son of Rabbi Moshe Sofer”. Leaves of book contain approximately 13 handwritten glosses, the majority of which are in his holy handwriting.
The Rebbe of Erlau – Rabbi Yochanan Sofer (born in 1923), from the dynasty of the Chatam Sofer, grandson of Rabbi Shimon Sofer of Erlau (son of the "Ktav Sofer"). His grandfather and most of his family perished in the Holocaust and he survived, immigrated to Eretz Israel, founded institutions of Torah and established the Erlau Hassidism. Among the elderly Rebbes of our days, member of Council of Torah Sages.
Section 2: 1-3, 16-20, 25-94 leaves (missing leaves: 4-15, 21-24); section 3: 2-63 leaves (missing title page). 33 cm. Dry paper. Fair condition, tears with missing text on several leaves, moth stains, detached leaves. Missing binding.
