Interesting archives from the office of Rabbi Meir Cohen, principal and supervisor of the "Torah Ve-Yir'ah" Yeshiva in Jerusalem, 1937-1949.
The archives contain administrative notebooks, detailed bookkeeping, protocols and private lists which include information on the interactions between the various administrative members, student lists with a description of their behaviors, grades and more, letters to the administration and internal correspondence, test questions, Torah novellae, certificates and other items. (Featuring the signatures of many "Torah VeYir'ah" rabbis such as: Rabbi Aharon Katznelbogen, Rabbi Ya'akov Rotman and more).
Back in the day, the "Torah Ve-Yir'ah" Yeshiva institutions in Jerusalem included a Talmud Torah, Yeshiva Ketana and a youth movement called "Chanoch LNa'ar" which were all founded by a group of "Kana'im" members of the "Edah Chareidit" [now known as the "Neturei Karta"]. A Yeshiva Gedola and Kollel were later opened. These archives give us a unique peek into the Talmud Torah and Yeshiva world of Jerusalem throughout that period of time.
The archives include leaves, booklets and notebooks, close to 200 leaves covered with a small, fine handwriting, various sizes and conditions.

Letter archive of the Wagner and Runes families, includes numerous letters by head of the family Rabbi Yitzchak HaCohen Runes Av Beit Din of Strasbourg. Majority of letters from 1937-1941.
The Ga'on Rabbi Yitzchak HaCohen Runes (1889-1940, Encyclopedia of Scholars of Galicia, 4, page 841), disciple of author of Harei Besamim in Stanislav. From 1927 served in the Adat Yisrael Rabbinate in Strasbourg. Upon the outbreak of World War II he escaped to Lyon (France), from there he attempted to immigrate to his children in Eretz Yisrael. Unfortunately, he passed away in Lyon on the 7th of Adar 2, 1940; his coffin was shipped for burial in Eretz Yisrael, however, due to war-related events was buried in Vahren, Algeria, and only in 1971 was transferred for burial in Eretz Yisrael. In these letters, the majority of which were sent to his daughter, Mrs. Penina Wagner of Petach Tikvah, his supreme efforts to immigrate and rescue family members by attaining certificates to Eretz Yisrael is apparent. Included is the last letter written he wrote, dated May 15th 1940, 4th of Adar 2, 1940 [three days prior to his death], which was sent to the Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik Herzog, requesting assistance in this matter.
Approx. 100 letters, telegrams and documents, including 46 postcards. Various sizes and conditions.

Rabbi Yosef Dov Soloveitchik (J.B.) of Boston (1908-1993) son of Rabbi Moshe ben Rabbi Chaim of Brisk. Disciple of the "prodigy of Meitchet". Served in the rabbinate in several cities and important communities in the USA, and was Dean of "Yeshiva University" in NY. Many books have been published based on his writings and lectures, in Halacha, Aggada, and Jewish philosophy. He was the leader of Modern Orthodox Jewry in the USA, but closer in spirit to the yeshiva world.
