On endpapers, signed ownership inscriptions in 18th century Ashkenazic hands.
[1], 2-299 leaves (includes several blank leaves). 19.5 cm. Most leaves in good-fair condition. Stains, including dampstains, and dark stains to title page and several other leaves. Some worming. Close trimming, affecting page headers in several places. Early leather and fabric binding, with wear and defects (with repairs).

She'erit Yaakov, homilies and commentaries on Rabbinic sayings, with Part II, Toldot Yaakov, by R. Yaakov Matalon. Salonika: Avraham son of Matitiah Bat Sheva, [1596-1597]. First edition, published by R. Moshe de Modena (son of the Maharashdam).
Printed posthumously by the author's father R. Shlomo Matalon. On verso of title page, eulogy for the author by his father.
Part II, Toldot Yaakov, on 151 Talmudic and Midrashic sayings, includes novellae by the author's father and brother R. Chaim Matalon.
Inscriptions in Oriental script on several leaves. Arabic stamp on leaf 2.
52, 54-71; 4; 90 leaves. Lacking leaf 53 of first sequence. 28 cm. Fair to fair-poor condition. Many stains, including dampstains and dark stains. Wear. Tears and open tears, to title page and other leaves, affecting title frame and text (some with singeing), partially repaired with paper. Large open tear to leaf 73 of second sequence (approx. half of leaf missing). Early leather binding, repaired, with worming and defects.
