Two Medals Awarded to "RAFAEL" Employees, 1970s-80s
Two bronze medals awarded to employees of RAFAEL (Rafael Advanced Defense Systems), minted by the Israel Coins and Medals Corporation.
1. Medal awarded to a RAFAEL employee for 25 years of service, 1973.
Obverse: the legend "25 years of service in RAFAEL" and on upper right, within a square, schematic design of a missile. Reverse: a seven branched Menorah and the legend "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit. Zaccharia, 4:6" (Hebrew). On the rim: Emblem of the State of Israel, the words "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English and the name – Yorden Zeev.
Diameter: 60 mm.
2. Medal awarded to a RAFAEL pensioner, 1982.
Obverse: emblem of RAFAEL surrounded by the legend "RAFAEL, Authority for development of defense systems". Reverse: Stylized IDF emblem and the verse "For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war. Proverbs 24:6" (Hebrew).
